Job Description/Responsibilities

Maintenance Team Lead leads plant maintenance activities including construction projects, capital & departmental budgeting for construction activities, project inspections and facility maintenance.  Responsible for supervision of skilled trades personnel along with anticipating and communicating relevant issues to the plant leadership team

 

  • Lead maintenance to ensure plant operates at a reliable level for operations to achieve the highest efficiency and quality through support of capital planning, systems controls, project management and overall maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Drive continuous improvement efforts within the Plant Maintenance department and throughout operations. Provide maintenance expertise to analyze and resolve problems relating to production and operational efficiency
  • Supports the safety program through ongoing preventive and reactive maintenance, ensures maintenance employees and all contractors adhere to all safety rules; ensures all maintenance employees participate in required an recommended safety training program.
  • Assist with exceeding customer expectations through management of the Plant Maintenance department to achieve 95% operational uptime in support to delivering product to the customer that meets quality standards and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Consult with operations on cost savings projects applying expertise to recommend new methodologies and equipment to ensure production efficiency, maximize output and prevent down time. Work with vendors to ensure efficient and effective spending occurs in regard to replacement parts.
  • Ensures employees are treated fairly and with respect. Creates a team environment where all employees are encouraged to make a difference in meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Consult with Plant Maintenance Manager on performance issues to improve skills and performance of all employees in the Plant Maintenance department. Evaluates, trains and develops Plant Maintenance department employees.
  • Formally discuss personal career ambitions with manager and take ownership for a development plan for both you and direct reports.

 

Salary range - $76,534 - $114,801

 

*Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering/related degree or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with beverage processing and its associated equipment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience
