Job Description/Responsibilities

The Sazerac House General Manager is responsible for achieving excellent service experience for the fans of the Sazerac, Sazerac House and our products, ensuring accurate, informative, and fun tour information!

 

As the Sazerac House General Manager, one is held accountable to, however not limited to the following priorities:

  • Achieve Gift Shop Revenue Goals
  • Generate ideas to bring visitors to the Sazerac House
  • Recommend staffing needs for smooth operation of the Sazerac House for both the visitor experience and meeting and event needs
  • Work with the Marketing Services team on developing yearly Plan of Work and take the lead in organization and implementation of the Sazerac House Homeplace Strategic Plan
  • Ensure world class customer service is provided to Sazerac House visitors, meeting & event attendees through proper training and evaluation
  • Ensure tour routes and information being communicated is accurate, informative and fun
  • Develop strategic and annual operating plans at the Sazerac House to increase visitor count through advertising, public relations, and promotional events
  • Identify, develop and complete processes necessary for the smooth operation of the Gift Shop, Tour Program and Events

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong detail orientation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience dealing with VIP guests
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • Sales experience
