Job Description/Responsibilities

The Homeplace New Ventures Project Lead will lead the research, design, planning and execution processes for all new Sazerac Homeplaces.  They will spearhead the company’s ambition to open innovative, profitable location-based experiences to support core brand objectives and to create raving fans of Sazerac products.  The Homeplace NV Project Lead will be entrepreneurial and resourceful, with an eye for experiential innovation and storytelling.

 

  • Use Performance Development System (PDS) to enhance performance within the company through evaluation, planning, and goal execution. Strive to constantly develop oneself as a valuable asset through personal and professional growth and attention to the position’s outcomes. Support the widespread use of PDS and support company culture within the organization.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on budget status to stakeholders. Manages Capital Expenditure with tight control, operating with an “Owner’s Mindset.”
  • Ensures effective and compelling brand storytelling is present in all functioning Homeplaces to drive consideration, trial, and affinity.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges. Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.  Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Infuse design thinking and creative concepts into project development. Collaborate with and lead design teams to deliver against brand-building objectives. 
  • Identify and select appropriate vendors for project requirements., Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure deliverables meet established standards.
  • Supports new concept development to drive brand awareness. Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities that align with Homeplace brand and values. 
  • Develop and execute project plans for new ventures within Homeplace. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet or exceed quality standards. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Develop strategies using industry expertise and R&D efforts to enhance the overall brand experience and curate best in class home experiences. Implement design elements that align with the brand's vision and values.

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements

MUST

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Budgeting, planning and/or financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Willingness to travel
  • Comfortable with change in a fast moving environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • 5 years relevant experience (minimum)

PREFERRED

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Certification/Qualification in Project Management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
