Job Description/Responsibilities

The Network Support Technician is responsible for IT operations in the facility (or facilities) for which they are responsible. This includes all activities related to infrastructure (design, implementation, and on-going maintenance), as well as end user support activities.  This position will work both independently and as part of the larger Enterprise IT Operations  team. Will also provide support, as needed, to other Sazerac facilities (existing or acquired).

 

  • Maintain facility (or facilities) infrastructure. This includes design, installation, maintenance, and support of servers, networking and phone equipment. Assist in identifying, tracking and replacing PCs in accordance with the enterprise refresh strategy. Define and maintain requirements for network wiring, wireless access points, switches, & phone equipment. Support end user hardware and software issues as they pertain to the PCs and connected peripherals. Assist in the creation and enforcement of IT policies and standards. Integrate with the IT Enterprise team and IT support systems to provide excellent Customer Service.
  • As part of the Enterprise IT Operations team, this position participates in identifing specific monitoring requirements for their facility (or facilities) to achieve enterprise uptime/availability goals. They are the primary responder for the facilitiy (or facilities) for which they are responsible, and will assist as needed at other facilities.
  • This position is responsible for ensuring the facility (or facilities) current, as well as any new, systems are compliant and integrated into the Sazerac IT Business Continuation and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • This position helps identify and measure key system performance metrics as they pertain to their facility (or facilities).
  • Identify training needs and design development plan, programs and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to manager regarding on-the-job learning opportunities.
  • Work with KPI team to develop scorecards, metrics, and reports for the area of IT infrastructure and support at their facility (or facilities).
  • Use PDS to enhance performance within the company through evaluation, planning, and goal execution. Strive to constantly develop oneself as a valuable asset through personal and professional growth and attention to the position’s outcomes.
  • Use the PPT to manage and define tasks within the organization that support the strategic initiatives, company-wide outcomes, and vision. Simplify the aspects of job management and tracking to streamline workflow and to result in improved efficiency and communication.
  • Support their facility (or facilities) through technical assistance and infrastructure support enabling them and the company to reach it's fiscal goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

MUST

  • Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Cisco OS knowledge
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • 5-10 years relevant experience (minimum)
  • Requires Telecommunication systems experience
  • experience in Customer Service or Consumer Affairs.
  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.

PREFERRED

  • Requires Cisco Unity Telephone system experience
