Job Description/Responsibilities

The Global Head, HR Operations will lead our HR operations team with a focus on HR Shared Services, HR Information Systems and Payroll.  As a key member of the HR leadership team, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will play a critical role in optimizing and streamlining HR processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and team member experience, as well as providing strategic solutions to support leaders and company objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Shared Services Leadership:

  • Build and oversee the HR Shared Services team responsible for providing support in areas such as team member inquiries, benefits administration, and HR transactional processes.
  • Ensure consistent and standardized HR services across the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance shared services processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of HR services.

HR Technology & Systems:

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of the HR systems to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR teams to integrate HRIS with other business systems and tools.
  • Analyze HR data to provide insights for strategic decision-making and compliance reporting.
  • Utilize technology to enhance HR operational efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Compliance teams to ensure payroll compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and standardize HR processes to enhance overall operational efficiency and improve team member and manager experience.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR operations, with a focus on automation and technology integration.
  • Implement best practices and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure HR operations compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement controls to mitigate risks related to data security, privacy, and payroll accuracy.

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure the effective delivery of HR services and solutions.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize cost and service levels.

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage team providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet their goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Metrics and Analytics:

  • Implement HR metrics and analytics to measure operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR operations management, with a focus on HRIS, Shared Services models, and Payroll, Time and Attendance.
  • History of standing-up HR shared services centers (transaction processing, ESS/MSS, call center).
  • 15 years of progressive experience in HR operations, with a focus on transformational leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR technology, systems, and tools, with a track record of successful implementation and optimization.
  • In-depth understanding of global payroll processes, compliance, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to drive results in a complex, high growth company.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing HR operations team.
