Job Description/Responsibilities

The Learning Specialist – Professional Skills will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of high-quality, engaging, and impactful training programs to team members. The facilitator will collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to address specific learning outcomes related to professional skills development. This position requires a skilled communicator which employes adult learning methodologies to engage diverse audiences. The position will also support various aspects of the learning and development function, including program leadership, content development, reporting, vendor management and the Learning Management System (LMS) administration.

 

Key Objectives:

Learning and Development:

  • Facilitates professional skills and development trainings. Create engaging and interactive learning content, including presentations, e-learning and training materials to meet the needs of the learner. Facilitate discussions, activities and exercises to promote knowledge sharing, skill development and retention.
  • Collaborates with identified stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and manage learning programs and key learning projects.
  • Develops, designs, delivers, and evaluates relevant learning programs that facilitate the development goals and continuous learning of Sazerac team members on a range of topics including professional development, professional skills, orientation and onboarding, business acumen, systems, and other training defined by business needs.
  • Conducts needs assessments and training gap analysis to create relevant training.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Develops and maintains reports to track key learning and development metrics, including training participation, satisfaction, and effectiveness. Assist with training logistics, including scheduling and managing participants. Maintain record of training attendance, evaluation, and other relevant data.
  • Administer the Sazerac LMS, including user management, course catalog management, system configuration, analytics, and communications.
  • Links development and learning opportunities to performance development plans to support engagement with the Performance Development System (PDS). Develop competence in Sazerac development systems across the organization. Uses PDS to develop own skillset and achieve performance objectives and goals. Use CDS to develop own career path.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in learning and development. Proven experience as a training facilitator or similar role, with a strong background in delivering engaging and effective training programs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to facilitate training or support implementation of site-based training programs.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in program or project management 
  • Certification in facilitation, training, or related areas

Compensation: Placement within the salary range is calculated based on years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel, or cell phone reimbursement.
