Job Description/Responsibilities

The Global Account Manager will lead key brand initiatives, manage workflows, and support strategy execution across The Shop, our in-house consumer content agency, which covers PR, media, creative, and social content for our global brands. This role oversees campaigns from concept through design, packaging, and retail tools, collaborating with internal clients, in-house resources, and external partners. This role includes scorecard ownership, budget reporting, and the application of industry best practices to continuously build our team’s capabilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Campaign Leadership & Strategy 
  • Lead brand campaigns across 2D design, packaging, and shopper-facing tools, ensuring impactful and cohesive brand storytelling. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to deliver engaging content, grounded in consumer insights and strategic planning. 
  • Act as the primary account leader, bringing campaigns to life and ensuring alignment with brand strategy and goals. 
  • Brand Strategy Execution 
  • Work closely with brand teams to develop clear and inspiring briefs for the in-house agency. 
  • Review team outputs to ensure alignment with brand strategy, focusing on target identification, creative strategy, communication needs, media planning, and KPIs. 
  • Guide consumer work, equity initiatives, and the execution of “red thread” campaign elements for cohesive brand storytelling. 
  • Budget & Performance Tracking 
  • Manage the budget across creative, PR, social, and media, coordinating with finance and brand teams to monitor spending and performance metrics. 
  • Oversee budget allocations and provide accurate reporting to stakeholders, ensuring transparent financial management. 
  • Process Improvement & Systems Optimization 
  • Utilize PPT and suggest optimizations within Workfront to streamline workflow and improve agency efficiency. 
  • Lead process improvements to enhance agency deliverables, ensuring timely and effective brand support. 
  • Complete monthly reports and monitor Workfront for consistent tracking of team progress. 
  • Insight Generation & Creative Ideation 
  • Engage in consumer insights research, identifying trends across categories, brands, and regions. 
  • Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to generate culturally relevant ideas for creative content, media partnerships, social initiatives, and more. 
  • Champion insight-driven approaches to create compelling visuals, stunts, and campaigns that resonate with the target audience. 
  • Portfolio Project Focus 
  • Integrate strategy across various channels (PR, Social, TVC, OOH, radio, shopper, packaging) for priority brands within the Sazerac portfolio, ensuring all elements align with consumer insights and brand messaging. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the shop (PR, Media, Social, Creative) and brand teams, leveraging insights to enhance consumer connections and drive engagement. 
  • Actively track consumer trends and align campaigns with relevant passion points to amplify brand impact.

Team Development & Performance 

  • Utilize PDS (Performance Development System) to foster continuous improvement within the team. 
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide actionable feedback, and recommend skill-building initiatives. 
  • Drive engagement and professional growth by encouraging team members to leverage PDS for their development. 

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in the role, you’ll need these requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field 
  • A creative team player who is a natural communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong writing editing skills 
  • 4+ years’ agency experience as an AE or equivalent applicable experience 
  • 4 years experience with design agency or similar role 
  •  Exceptional organization, prioritization, & project management skills 
  •  A drive to succeed and a willingness to lead 
  •  Excellent listening, presentation and communication skills 
  •  Strong brand building fundamentals 
  •  Skilled in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word 
  •  Comfortable building new processes and teams - must enjoy some ambiguity but also have the ability to set the course 

PREFERRED 

  •  High level of creativity and experience in creative development 
  •  Experience in multiple agency disciplines eg: creative, digital, packaging, in-store, PR, media 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
