Company/Location Overview

The Experience Associate is responsible creating a welcoming, entertaining and educational atmosphere to all visitors of the Sazerac House and internal customers. Provides exceptional customer service and is recognized as an advocate of Sazerac House featured brands and spirited experience. 

Job Description/Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all Sazerac House visitors. Create a welcoming atmosphere to all visitors. Be attentive and available to assist visitors. Follow up/through visitors inquiries.  Anticipate visitors needs.  Thank visitors and extend an offer to return.  Be knowledgeable about the featured products, gift shop merchandise and special events. Make suggestions to management to enhance tours and expand opportunities for sales.
  • Anticipate the traffic flow and ensure adequate inventory of sampling tools on hand to provide proper samples per day. Provide information and entertainment for visitors to help create "raving fans" of the Sazerac House and featured brands. Be attentive to visitors inquiries. Continually strive for improvements in tours and sampling stations.  Be an advocate for The Sazerac House in the local community.  Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
  • Monitor exhibit floor crowd flow and ensure all visitors feel welcome and safe. Maintain sampling stations property stocked, process orders of supplies and liquor on a daily basis, and oversee the execution of samples to visitors. Be attentive to visitor comments and questions. Assist with training of new Experience Ambassadors and Gift Shop associates. Assist with maintaining storage rooms clean, organized and properly stocked. 
  • Ensure exhibit floors and sampling stations at the Sazerac House are kept organized, stocked, and clean at all times. Be knowledgeable about the merchandise and products available at the gift shop and daily events.  Make recommendations on merchandise based on visitors feedback.
  • Creates and develops a personal development plan with management to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance.
  • Work with other Gift Shop Attendants and Experience Ambassadors to generate revenues and raving fans of the Sazerac House.
  • Keep watch on inventory of liquor, sampling tools and supplies for the assigned station. Re-order as necessary. Participate in the VIP and group visitor program.

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience (minimum)
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • In-person job attendance

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • 2 years Hospitality industry experience
  • 1 year Experience consulting, managing, and setting up VIP Guest Visits
