Job Description/Responsibilities

Bio: The US Insights Manager (Marketing/Consumer) works with US brand teams to develop insights and answer consumer questions to help grow our brands in the US. Need to proactively identify consumer insights for Sazerac priority brands and BevAlc categories through the integration of consumer data, primary research, market data, and consumer trends to derive insights from the collective data set and translate them into actionable growth opportunities via brand renovation, expansion, NBD, and marketing commercialization.

 

  • Align individual priorities, time, and resource allocation by brand, country, and state. Support the marketing team with market analysis, insight generation, and opportunity identification for BCSPs. Provide insights to fuel compelling presentations to help secure customer and distributor support.
  • Support Global Insights Managers and business leaders to establish best practice approaches in consumer research, insight generation, and strategy development. Facilitates adoption of research methodologies and suppliers, continuous improvement in techniques and cost, and seeks new tools to increase effectiveness.
  • Leads the sourcing, interpretation, and application of marketplace and consumer learning and trends to influence category and brand strategies, brand standards, new business development, sales decks, and marketing communication (packaging and programming). Day-to-day contact with research suppliers and communication with internal clients. Contributes to creating learning plans and drives an agile, analytically-driven approach to identifying and defining business opportunities for growth; Executes learning plans, communicating effectively and delivering actionable business recommendations on time and within budget.
  • Establish well-organized priorities for yourself. Document project workflows when establishing new, best-practice project workflows to facilitate future training and the scalability of the process for the team and organization.
  • Support the development of materials for customer presentations and distributor reviews with insights.
  • Develop and follow an action plan to gain the learning experiences needed to advance my career.
  • Contribute to Sazerac's fiscal year growth by establishing himself/herself as a business partner and translating insights and analytics into top- and bottom-line business impact. This person analyzes consumer, market, and brand health data. This role will also conduct primary consumer research and establish foundational consumer research to define Sazerac brands' growth opportunities related to brand renovation, expansion, new business development, and marketing strategy, domestically and globally.
  • Utilize the PDS system to identify areas for self-improvement, measure skill improvement progress, improve job effectiveness, and achieve goals. Actively participate in improving skills and documenting learning within the PDS system.

Qualifications/Requirements

To Be SUCCESSFUL in the role, you’ll need these requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or commensurate experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Consumer Insights
  • Experience handling and analyzing consumer survey data sets using tools such as SPSS, uTab, Minitab, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Experience with MS Power BI
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with international colleagues in different time zones

 

PREFERRED

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
