Job Description/Responsibilities

The Senior Compensation Analyst  is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and administration of competitive and compliant compensation processes and programs that are cost-effective and support the company’s business strategy. This role participates in compensation surveys and executes market pricing to establish competitive salary ranges and wage rates for all positions; ensures compliance with all State and Federal Wage and Hour regulations; and administers company compensation processes and programs.

  • Provides support to HR on the execution, implementation, and administration of compensation programs to help attract, retain and engage employees.

Works with HR Directors to identify and recommend resolution of any compensation issues impacting our ability to attract strong candidates.

  • Executes the market pricing process to ensure the control point for each position is competitive in the relevant market. Participates in compensation surveys relevant to company jobs and analyzes survey results to determine best market matches. Develops control point recommendations. Ensures ongoing competitiveness of the compensation system. Administers the annual salary increase process.
  • Participates in preparation for collective bargaining by researching wage data for union positions in the relevant labor market and analyzing cost impact of various compensation proposals.
  • Participates in development of intranet-based position description and compensation system. Develops and delivers training on compensation processes and programs.
  • Ensures compliance with all requirements of state and federal Wage and Hour Laws. Assesses jobs and their duties to determine classification as exempt or non-exempt to ensure compliance with FLSA and makes sure all relevant company systems reflect the correct status for each position. Ensures compliance with all relevant compensation-related regulations for any company employees located outside of the US.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and administration of global incentive programs.
  • Develops understanding of company culture and uses this to ensure compensation philosophy is applied consistently and fairly. Monitors Best Place to Work scores that relate to pay, and works with HR team and managers to improve these scores.
  • Engages in career development discussions with manager to communicate career aspirations and identify skill development needs to achieve career goals.
  • Supports other projects on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant government regulations
  • Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
  • 5 years compensation related experience

PREFERRED

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Professional certification related to compensation such as CCP
  • Advanced MS Excel experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Requires compensation related experience
  • Requires experience measuring/analyzing compensation related metrics

This position offers a remote schedule with some occasional travel for meetings/conferences.
