Job Description/Responsibilities

The Private Label and Control Label (PL/CL) Operations Business Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all operations activities within the Private Label business, from helping to manage new innovations to optimizing existing business and SKUs. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role ensures effective communication and alignment across cross-functional teams to drive results and meet business objectives. The Private Label Business Manager will serve as the key liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to deliver high-quality, on-time outcomes in support of the private label portfolio.

 

  • Ensure development of a prioritized PDS plan, including ownership, commitment and ongoing documentation of progress toward skill development.
  • Lead Private Label operations, acting as the central point of contact to drive communication, accountability, and seamless execution. Optimize production and freight planning to meet OTIF targets while achieving the lowest delivered cost. Collaborate with demand/supply planning to ensure sufficient production levels that meet customer needs without overstocking.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and delivery by monitoring metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and company policies by partnering with Planning, Plants, NBD, Quality and Compliance teams. Monitor and report operational KPIs to senior leadership, informing decisions to support production, quality, and cost alignment.
  • Serve as the primary operations contact, addressing issues, providing updates, and aligning with internal teams and external partners. Guide the operations team to deliver superior customer service, ensuring streamlined processes and meeting customer expectations.
  • Coordinate data integration with PL/CL customers to drive visibility into forecasts, inventory, and supply chain activities. Ensure timely launches by collaborating with New Business Development teams and mitigating operational risks.
  • Work with centralized teams to avoid OOS situations while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
  • Create processes, systems, training, and infrastructure to meet customer expectations with the right product in the right place at the right time. Align customer expectations with plant and supplier capabilities to address gaps and ensure operational feasibility.
  • Reduce finished goods, components, and barrel whiskey inventories to the minimum levels needed to meet customer expectations. Balance supply and demand to maintain adequate yet efficient inventory across all regions.
  • Implement and evaluate cost-saving projects that reduce costs without sacrificing product quality or service levels. Streamline operations to eliminate inefficiencies and support profitability goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Willingness to travel
  • 3 years Management experience
  • 5 years relevant experience (minimum)

PREFERRED

  • 5 years Supply Chain Experience
