As a Design Manager, you will lead visual brand building across marketing and advertising platforms, specializing in retail print and display design. You’ll oversee key visuals and brand ideation for emerging priority brands, managing a portfolio of 40+ brands across off-premise, on-premise, eCommerce, and B2B retail channels.

This role requires both hands-on design expertise and leadership of internal and external teams. You will play a pivotal role in expanding in-house design capabilities, refining cross-functional processes, and optimizing vendor relationships as the team expands into global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

🎨 Retail Design Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the retail design process for priority brands, ensuring all deliverables align with marketing objectives and brand identity.
  • Manage and oversee the creation of retail displays, print materials, and digital assets across multiple retail channels.
  • Act as a hands-on designer when needed or manage external teams/agencies to ensure high-quality execution.

📊 Strategic Budget & Resource Management

  • Support fiscal year growth by driving cost efficiencies and completing in-house projects that save a minimum of $500,000 annually in agency expenses.
  • Expand in-house team capacity to meet marketing and sales goals within budget constraints.

👥 Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a growing team of designers, ensuring world-class execution of BTL (Below the Line) marketing needs globally across on-premise, off-premise, eCommerce, and B2B.
  • Mentor and coach high-potential talent, fostering leadership development and succession planning within the marketing organization.

🚀 Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Refine strategic approaches to client briefs to enhance project outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage graphics execution in collaboration with the Account & Strategy team, reviewing and approving proofs for quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee agency creative work when internal capacity is constrained.
  • Establish systems to track and prioritize design projects, ensuring transparency and efficiency in workflow management.

📈 Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Utilize the PDS system to identify opportunities for self-improvement and career growth.
  • Develop and execute an action plan to gain new skills, enhance learning experiences, and achieve long-term career goals.

💡 Customer Service & Internal Communication

  • Maintain world-class customer service for internal teams, agencies, vendors, and consumers.
  • Implement a structured update system to keep internal stakeholders informed of design progress and priorities.

This is a high-impact role for a creative leader who thrives in fast-paced, global brand environments and is passionate about elevating retail design through strategic execution and innovation.
