Job Description/Responsibilities

Bottling Maintenance Supervisor supervises the skilled bottling mechanics and electricians to efficiently maintain & repair packaging lines; and responsible for anticipating and communicating relevant issues to the Bottling Maintenance Manager.

 

  • Supports Bottling in accomplishing the production needs within safety, quality, budgetary and regulatory guidelines by ensuring timely and efficient maintenance of all bottling lines and related equipment.  Plans and implements operational and mechanical improvements. Assesses, analyzes, troubleshoots and determines solutions to mechanical problems, to support productivity of Bottling Maintenance Technicians. Contributes to the planning and evaluation of line changes. Provides direction to the installation and modification of equipment.
  • Monitors and enforces all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies. Provides leadership to the safety program for the Bottling Maintenance Department through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of workplace accidents. Assists in the investigation of EH&S incidents.
  • Provides instruction and technical training to Bottling Maintenance Technicians, Machinists, mechanics and operators on equipment, procedures, and improving skill levels. Fosters teamwork, motivates, coaches, and develops subordinates. Creates and develops a personal development plan with the Sr. Bottling Maintenance Supervisor to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.  Provides instruction and technical training to Bottling Maintenance Technicians, Machinists, mechanics and operators on equipment, procedures, and improving skill levels.
  • Ensure that defect free products are scheduled, produced and shipped, in full and on time to meet customer demand.
  • Understand and work with established standards to deliver the highest and most consistent levels of excellent customer service.
  • Ensure production efficiency within cost standards. Tracks efficiencies and production data to improve yields and output. Helps prepare and manage annual and longer term operating plans to reduce costs without sacrificing quality or quantity. Assists in annual budget preparation for the Bottling Maintenance Department

Salary range - $84,061 - $105,077 

 

*Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office products
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a fast paced production environment
  • A proven track record of successful management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing best practices
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
