The Private Label and Control Label (PL/CL) Operations Business Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all operational activities within the private label business. This includes managing new innovations, optimizing existing SKUs, and ensuring seamless execution across teams. As the primary point of contact, this role facilitates communication and alignment between internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to drive business success.
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Lead private label operations as the central point of contact, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and execution.
- Optimize production and freight planning to meet On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) targets while achieving the lowest delivered cost.
- Collaborate with demand and supply planning teams to maintain sufficient production levels, ensuring customer needs are met without excess inventory.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, profitability, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and company policies by partnering with Planning, Plant Operations, New Business Development (NBD), Quality, and Compliance teams.
- Report operational KPIs to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights to support production, quality, and cost optimization.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary operations contact, addressing issues, providing updates, and maintaining alignment across internal teams and external partners.
- Guide the operations team to deliver exceptional customer service by streamlining processes and meeting customer expectations.
- Coordinate data integration with PL/CL customers to enhance forecast visibility, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
- Work closely with centralized teams to prevent out-of-stock (OOS) situations while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Develop systems, processes, and training to ensure product availability in the right place at the right time, aligning customer expectations with plant and supplier capabilities.
- Minimize finished goods, components, and barrel whiskey inventories while balancing supply and demand across all regions.
Cost Management & Operational Efficiency
- Implement and evaluate cost-saving projects that enhance operational efficiency without compromising product quality or service levels.
- Streamline workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and support overall profitability goals.
