Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior Maintenance or Mechanic work experience required
  • Completion of at least one of the following degrees: Industrial Electrician, Industrial Maintenance Electrical Mechanic, Automated Industrial Technician, or similar degree
  • Completion of courses in Basic Electricity, National Electrical Code, Electrical Motor Controls I, Electrical Motor Control Lab I, Basic Blueprint Reading, Electrical Motor Control II, Electrical Motor Control Lab II, Programmable Logic Controllers, and/or Programmable Logic Control Lab
  • Successful completion of Electrical Capstone
  • Ability to work afternoon or night shift for the foreseeable future and weekend overtime (as needed)
  • Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations
