Job Description/Responsibilities

The Shopper Marketing Manager, BuzzBallz is responsible for ensuring the most efficient and effective execution of shopper and guest marketing programs. This includes strategic planning, budgeting, and measurement to deliver best-in-class ROI with consistent year-over-year improvement. The goal is to position the company as #1 at the “Moment of Choice” through innovative and effective Trade Support Tools.

 

Expectations and Responsibilities:

Performance Development & Team Leadership

  • Conduct PDS (Performance Development System) reviews with direct reports to improve skills and performance.
  • Utilize PDS to drive performance discussions, skill evaluations, and recommend actionable tactics.
  • Promote and support the company culture through consistent use of PDS to measure progress and alignment.

Sales Activation & Marketing Support

  • Develop and deliver a monthly Field Sales Activation deck with key selling tools for all shopper and guest marketing programs, including:
    • Brand Big/Small Bets
    • Shopper/Guest Platforms
    • Multi-Brand Programs
  • Create scalable shopper and guest marketing conceptual sell decks for Field Sales, Channel, and Account-specific use.

Program Planning, Execution & Measurement

  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, execution, and measurement of shopper and guest marketing programs in collaboration with:
    • Off-Premise Channel Managers
    • On-Premise Leader
  • Align activation materials and resources with the Sales Operations Director to support sales priorities and ensure proper budgeting and ROI measurement with Sales Finance.

Strategic Calendar Management

  • Use tools and methodology from the Global Manager Commercial Planning & Analytics to create and manage an annual and quarterly calendar.
  • Clearly communicate key dates and expectations to ensure program milestones are met within field sales teams.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Manage field communications to drive awareness and understanding of program priorities, timing, and execution.
  • Establish a communication cadence and feedback loop with Field Sales to drive collaboration and tool optimization.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Implement tools and processes to establish clear performance metrics.
  • Create and deliver accurate and timely reports that connect commercial, operational, inventory, and sales data.
  • Provide analytical support, including:
    • Competitive intelligence (pricing & promotion benchmarking)
    • Financial analysis (ROI)

Budget Management

  • Lead effective budget management to deliver efficiencies and ROI aligned with shopper and guest marketing programming KPIs.
  • Partner with the Global Manager Commercial Planning & Analytics to track spending and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive business performance and deliver a best-in-class shopper and guest marketing experience.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in the role, you’ll need these requirements:

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of shopper and guest marketing experience
  • Experience leading people through influence, where no direct reporting relationship exists
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Experience and comfort working with stakeholders in Sales, Category Leadership, and Brand Marketing across markets
  • Customer knowledge and expertise regarding the operational realities of delivering shopper and guest marketing initiatives in retail environments
  • Comfortable with change in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to drive results in a complex, high-growth company

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%) 
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation: Placement within the salary range is calculated based on years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel, or cell phone reimbursement.
