Job Description/Responsibilities

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all state regulatory requirements related to selling the Company’s products. These regulatory requirements include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Filing monthly reports
  • Obtaining and renewing state licenses and permits
  • Registering products and labels
  • Providing state agencies with broker and distributor assignments
  • Submitting product quotes and listings to state agencies
  • Obtaining and renewing state DBAs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all state regulations are met regarding monthly reporting, sales permits and licenses, pricing, product and label registration, and broker/distributor assignments.
    Use systems to maintain organized document retention, calendaring of renewals, and easy monitoring, maintenance, and auditing of all regulatory activities.
  • Service Delivery:
    Deliver timely, accurate, and customer-focused services while maintaining full compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Skill Development:
    Work with your manager to identify areas for skill development. Create and execute a plan to improve at least one skill area each year.
  • Professional Relationships:
    Develop and maintain solid professional working relationships both internally and externally. Set a positive example and consistently demonstrate company values.
  • Career Planning:
    Utilize CDS (Career Development System) to identify training needs, curriculum, and programs that prepare for internal career opportunities.
    Provide feedback to your manager on job learning opportunities and collaborate to outline a long-term career development plan.

Qualifications/Requirements

To be Successful in the role, you’ll need these requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in process design, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • At least 1 year of compliance experience in the alcoholic beverage industry
