Job Description/Responsibilities

Bio
The Government Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance and operational accuracy related to spirits processing, inventory control, and reporting with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). This role ensures all documentation—including Processing Reports, Bottling Records, and Bills of Lading (BOLs)—is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.Key responsibilities include supporting audits through verification of tax rates on bottled products and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate records of both bulk and case goods inventory, and supporting physical inventory activities to ensure product integrity and stockroom accuracy.This position also manages and submits TTB Form 5110.28 (Processing Operations Report) and facilitates timely payment of Federal Excise Taxes (FET) using Form 5000.24A on a semi-monthly basis. The administrator ensures ongoing compliance with TTB regulations and company policies related to personal safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with TTB regulations across all operational areas, including bottling, processing, and shipping. Collaborate with department managers to uphold standards, conduct compliance audits, and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records, support operational accuracy, and ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
  • Prepare, review, and submit semi-monthly FET reports to the TTB with precision and timeliness. Distribute finalized reports to internal stakeholders, customers, and the corporate office. Manage filings with attention to financial impact, as they involve multi-million-dollar tax obligations. Submit FET claims accurately to all required agencies.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to TTB, corporate offices, plant personnel, and state agencies promptly and accurately. Partner with the manager to validate system-generated Government Records reports and support improvements to ensure accuracy and reliability for internal and external reporting needs.
  • Support TTB audits and general inquiries by assisting the Regulatory Manager and providing organized, accessible government documentation. Maintain audit readiness by ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and readily available to regulatory personnel.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of bottling, processing, and shipping areas to ensure compliance with TTB requirements. Work with department managers to identify and implement corrective actions and process improvements. Provide training as needed to promote compliance awareness and accountability.
  • Foster a professional, respectful work environment by maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate leadership through consistent, values-driven behavior and contribute to a positive company culture.
  • Collaborate with your manager to enhance job-related skills through regular feedback and improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain a Performance Development Plan focused on assigned competencies to support professional growth and improved performance.
  • Create and maintain a Career Development Plan to identify skill gaps and pursue targeted growth opportunities. Focus on continuous improvement and readiness for future roles within the organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant government regulations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience
  • 5 years Experience in a compliance related field such as TTB, Customs, IRS, auditing

Preferred

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to formulate compliance solutions acceptable to both Government Agencies and Company Plants
  • Knowledge of import/export processes/regulations (FDA, US Customs)
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • 2 years Alcoholic Beverage Industry compliance experience
