Job Description/Responsibilities

This position will be scheduled on weekends (Thursday-Sunday) on day shift (6:00am-4:30pm). 

 

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the skilled mechanics and electricians that are responsible for maintaining scheduled PMs, repairs and new installations as necessary. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for anticipating and communicating relevant issues and objectives to the Maintenance Manager and Plant Engineer & Reliability Manager as necessary.

  • Actively engage in keeping work area and facility grounds up to the established standards. Performance will be measured by KPIs and the Culture surveys. Own the standard operating procedure for the specific job. Continuously improve quality driven actions that lead to the award-winning results.
  • Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by departmental Key Performance Indicators.
  • Understand and comply with safety requirements of position; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Report all safety concerns and all accidents and near misses immediately. Participate in safety inspections and accident investigations. Keep workplace clean and free of debris at all times
  • The Mechanical skills needed for the job will be utilized through Preventative Maintenance Programs and Re-Active Maintenance situations in order to produce safe and quality product in a timeframe that will meet customer demand
  • Culture is very important to the Robinson Stave and Cumberland Cooperage. Communication about safety and equipment issues will be key. Being a team player will be recognized but with the entire facility. They will be challenged to take pride in their maintenance work while also continuing to grow as a model employee.
  • Develop the skills needed to attain the desired career path within the organization. Individuals are responsible for identifying their own career goals and communicating same to their supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing facility
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience 
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with CMMS software (computerized manufacturing maintenance system)
  • 2-year Associate's or Technical degree
  • Industrial Maintenance certification
