Job Description/Responsibilities

Caribbean and Central America markets à represent a significant opportunity to scale our business and become a relevant growth engine for the region.
This cluster includes our DISC partner (serving multi-markets: Part of our portfolio in Bahamas, Aruba, Barbados, Surinam, Antigua & Barbuda, Belize, Dominica, Bermuda, Cayman, BVI, USVI, Grenada, Curacao, Haiti, Guayana, St Barth, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and Grenadines, Surinam, Turk and Caicos), along with markets such as Central America (Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua)

Each country in the cluster presents unique market dynamics, regulatory environments, and consumer behaviors, requiring tailored, disruptive commercial strategies to unlock sustainable growth.

 

JOB PURPOSE:

 

The Regional Country CARIBBEAN (DISC) AND CENTRAL AMERICA à is responsible for helping shape the long-term vision and strategy for SZ business and deliver explosive growth connected with Sazerac’s Year ambition whilst being revered as innovative brand builders and disruptive commercial approach by delivering best in class activations and executions.

 

Lead the Sazerac business through third-party distributors, shaping, driving, and delivering the 3-year strategic ambition and long-term vision with clear objectives anchored in critical success factors. This requires close cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Finance, Customer Service & Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, and other key functions.

 

Establish a sustainable competitive advantage to win in the Total Beverage Alcohol (TBA) market by applying a disruptive, market-relevant approachbuilding strong distributor partnerships, engaging key industry stakeholders, and developing strategic relationships with top customers to unlock scalable, profitable growth.

 

Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies to drive Caribbean & CA Markets to reach / exceed its breakthrough performance goals including top line growth (Volumes), NS (Net Sales), BC (Brand Contribution), Market share, Visibility, Sales Capabilities development agenda with our partners.

 

The ideal candidate à will bring well-rounded KA’s & Distributor management experience, Strong Convenience stores experience and development, diverse Route to Market’s models capabilities and a proven track record of delivering high performance across dynamic and competitive environments.

They will be action-oriented, hands-on and energized, with the ability to operate closely with third-party distributors across Caribbean (Disc) and CA.

A strong and influential leader, this individual will be capable of driving and executing the “C&CA” strategy with agility, precision, and Drive for results mindset.

The ideal profile combines strategic vision with operational excellence, a detail-oriented mindset, and strong financial acumen, with demonstrated success in managing full P&Ls within complex, lean, and fast-paced business environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Be a Visible Leader & Cultural Ambassador:

  • Represent Sazerac’s values and leadership culture both internally and externally across “C&CA”.
  • Be a visible, trusted leader with strong presence in-market, engaging regularly with distributor partners, key customers, and internal stakeholders.

 

Lead Commercial Growth & Winning RTM Execution

  • Lead the business across third-party distributors, shaping and executing the 3-year growth ambition with clear KPIs and strong cross-functional alignment (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance).
  • Build a sustainable competitive advantage through disruptive Route-to-Market strategies tailored to each country’s structure, regulatory environment, and consumer behavior.

Customer Development & Joint Business Planning:

  • Develop strategic relationships with top regional customers, ensuring alignment through Joint Business Plans and tailored execution models by channel (Modern Trade, Traditional, CVS, On-Trade, etc.).
  • Take direct accountability for selected key account negotiations and performance delivery.

Marketing & Activation Excellence

  • Partner with regional marketing teams to build consumer-led activation plans, ensuring execution excellence across channels.
  • Support brand prioritization and ensure investments are ROI-driven and aligned with market-specific opportunities.

Measure & Evaluation and Performance Management

  • Ensure full visibility of sell-out, ROS, distribution, and execution KPIs across markets.
  • Lead implementation of performance scorecards, tracking progress and enabling fast, data-driven decisions.

Pricing, Portfolio, and Profitability

  • Lead portfolio strategy and pricing architecture to optimize market competitiveness and financial contribution.
  • Regularly review financial levers (e.g., transfer prices, trade terms, promotional ROI) to enhance Net Sales and Brand Contribution.

Distributor’s Development & Functional Integration

  • Build and empower a high-performing, cross-functional team that thrives in a lean structure.
  • Support and lead the development of distributor capabilities, ensuring they are equipped to execute Sazerac’s strategy with excellence.
  • Establish mirrored ways of working with distributor partners, promoting agile decision-making and joint planning routines.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Foresight

  • Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory shifts, and consumer behavior, translating insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Identify white space opportunities and barriers to growth, driving a proactive agenda to unlock them.

Operational & Compliance Excellence

  • Ensure full compliance with local regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards.
  • Optimize logistics and supply chain collaboration to ensure efficiency, cost control, and service levels.

Leadership, Communication & Influence

  • Communicate with clarity, purpose, and consistency across all levels — from field teams to regional & global stakeholders.
  • Engage in regular career development discussions, drive personal growth through PDS, and model Sazerac’s leadership principles.

  • Fluent in Spanish & English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and digital commercial platforms (Power BI, Salesforce, Nielsen/Circana, etc.)
  • Open to frequent regional and international travel.
  • 8+ years of relevant Sales/Marketing experience, ideally within premium Spirits, Beverage, or FMCG industries (Coca-Cola, Beer companies, Mondelez, Red Bull, Nestle, BTA, Philipps Morris, P&G are highly desirable).
  • 6+ years Distributors management, Key Account commercial roles, managing international and national customers.
  • 3+ years of On-Premise experience, with strong exposure to brand building, advocacy, and outlet segmentation strategies.
  • 4+ years of experience in pricing strategy, with a solid understanding of Net Revenue Management (NRM) and financial optimization.
  • 5+ years leading the development and execution of commercial or market entry strategies, with a proven track record of delivering growth.
  • 3+ years of experience in budgeting, planning, and/or financial analysis, with full P&L ownership and performance accountability
