The S&OP Manager plays a critical role in aligning sales, marketing, production, and supply chain operations to ensure demand and supply objectives are achieved. This role leads the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the S&OP process, driving cross-functional collaboration and leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion the use of the Performance Development System (PDS) to drive individual and organizational performance through ongoing evaluation, planning, and goal achievement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and alignment with company values.
Own and enhance the S&OP process by incorporating industry best practices, driving engagement, and optimizing effectiveness across the organization.
Design and implement data analytics tools to support all functional areas. Leverage data to evaluate trends, inform decisions, and provide actionable insights throughout the S&OP cycle.
Ensure S&OP technology platforms are effectively integrated to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
Support supply planning to align production and inventory levels with forecasted demand. Build capability within the supply planning team to monitor inventory, optimize turns, and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
Oversee the demand forecasting process to accurately anticipate customer needs and support efficient production planning.
Collaborate across departments to execute the S&OP process in alignment with business strategies. Ensure system integration enables effective cross-functional review and informed decision-making.
Utilize the Career Development System (CDS) to assess training needs and develop programs that support employee growth and internal mobility. Provide constructive feedback to enhance on-the-job learning.
Promote a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team effectiveness and efficiency.
Actively review S&OP performance, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions. Identify and mitigate risks, while recognizing opportunities for continuous improvement.
Manage the sourcing and procurement budget to support S&OP objectives and meet financial targets.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, providing insights and recommendations backed by strong analytical reasoning.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Experience with S&OP platforms and tools for data analysis and reporting
Strong adaptability to changing market conditions
High ethical standards and integrity in all business practices
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
Advanced analytical capabilities with experience in visualizing complex data sets using tools such as Symphony Retail AI/EYC, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, and Alteryx
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, Macros, VBA, data simulations, and advanced formatting)
Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to adopt new analytical approaches
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-driven mindset
Skilled negotiator and influencer with a data-informed approach to decision-making
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Cloud Data Platform, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM)
Proven track record of leading high-impact corporate initiatives
Experience leading through influence without direct reporting lines
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, and S&OP
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 25%
