Job Description/Responsibilities

The Division Vice President - Central manages Sazerac sales activities and administration for multiple states and leads the development and implementation of brand programming and KPIs; is responsible for developing and managing price structures, distributor pricing and margins, scan and DA effectiveness and competitive price reports; directs activities of State Managers and broader sales teams in the division.

 

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):

  • Develop and communicate volume and profit objectives for the Division. Monitor and ensure the goal attainment is achieved annually and on target for the overall plan.
  • Train and develop the Divisional Sales team and monitor progress to ensure proper development of the team. Ensure the long-term developmental training fundamentals are in place.
  • Develop and communicate volume and profit objectives for the Division. Monitor and ensure goal attainment of these objectives through KPIs and volumetric and brand contribution by state measures.
  • Establish quantitative execution standards (KPIs) and measures for the priorities in the Division. Establish annual distribution objectives by size, customer and channel of trade. Review results on a monthly basis to ensure completion of the KPIs.
  • Increase the Division profitability, utilize the new price structure system to more accurately measure Sazerac's financial contribution with the distributor, increase efficiency with retail pricing and identify financial opportunities.
  • Develop and implement the KPI system for the Division to increase brand building capabilities. Improve the team's ability to focus on the key performance indicators of each brand state priority initiative and to track the results more effectively.
  • Recruit, interview, screen and select potential candidates for the Division. Oversee the on boarding and training process of new employees to ensure a successful integration into the company.  Identify top talent in geographical area to develop future applicant pool.
  • Pro-actively identify and communicate new brand opportunities. Seamlessly integrate new brand acquisitions into the Division.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant area
  • Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in CPG, FMCG or alcoholic beverage industry
  • Record of successful leadership and supervisory experience in distributor management, national accounts or field sales management
  • Regional, national or multi-state management experience 
  • Knowledge of 3-tier and/or DSD model
  • Budgeting, planning, sales and financial analysis
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel
  • A valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Brand Marketing or Trade Marketing experience
