Job Description/Responsibilities

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and administration of competitive, compliant, and cost-effective compensation programs that align with the organization’s business strategy. This role will conduct compensation surveys, execute market pricing, and help establish salary ranges and wage rates for all positions. Additionally, the Senior Compensation Analyst will ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws and oversee compensation program administration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HR teams in implementing and managing compensation programs that attract, retain, and engage talent.
  • Partner with HR Directors to identify and address compensation-related challenges that may impact recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Execute the market pricing process, ensuring control points for positions remain competitive within relevant markets. Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results to determine best market matches, developing recommendations accordingly.
  • Administer the annual salary review and increase processes.
  • Contribute to collective bargaining preparation by researching competitive wage data for union positions and analyzing the cost impact of various proposals.
  • Support the development of intranet-based position description and compensation systems, including delivering related training.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws, including job classification under FLSA, and maintain accurate records across all relevant systems.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations for employees located outside the United States, as applicable.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of global incentive programs.
  • Apply a deep understanding of company culture to consistently and fairly administer compensation practices in alignment with the overall compensation philosophy.
  • Monitor Best Place to Work scores related to pay and partner with HR and management teams to improve these scores.
  • Participate in career development discussions with your manager to communicate goals and identify opportunities for skill development.
  • Support other projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of compensation-related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant federal and state government regulations
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing compensation or HR-related projects
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer proficiency and comfort with technology and systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Professional compensation certification (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional – CCP)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Experience measuring and analyzing compensation-related metrics

 

This position offers a remote schedule with some occasional travel for meetings/conferences.
