Job Description/Responsibilities

This role will be a critical part of Sazerac's global communications team and will act as gate keeper and liaison between our brands and their audiences via social media platforms, such as TikTok, X, IG, FB, YouTube and other communication platforms. She/He/They will lead on crafting influencer strategies across priority brands and will oversee all elements of program implementation and execution, including measurement/reporting. In addition, this role will lead in creating compelling social content for priority brands, directing photo shoots, editing video, scheduling posts, developing and analyzing reports to identify key insights for future action, conducting social media listening, channel engagement, community management, as well as mentorship and oversight of junior team members and interns.

 

Content and Community

  • Work with Social Media Strategy and Engagement Manager to clearly define social media strategy for brands, including tone of voice. Work with the integrated team to ensure community management is coordinated consistently and in line with established systems and calendars. Maintain the utmost professionalism when acting as the voice of the brand on social media.
  • Proactively monitor news cycle and social media channels for trends and opportunities relevant to our brands; pitch social-first ideas to brands and oversee execution of concepts when approved.
  • Lead creation of social-first content for owned channels, including concepting and creating posts, directing social-first shoots, editing video or photos, etc. Translate strategic goals into creative concepts, including content themes, visual styles, and formats that resonate with our audience.
  • Plan, manage, and create engaging content across various Sazerac social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.), including drafting, editing, scheduling, posting, and optimizing reels and other content.

 

Influencer

  • Lead ideation, conceptualization, development and implementation of influencer and social strategy content across priority brands. Work cross functionally on the execution of approved plans and/or handle execution directly. Work with contracted influencer partners to deliver disruptive and compelling brand-relevant content; monitor performance and optimize future briefs as a result
  • Oversee agencies when appropriate

Measurement and Reporting

  • Lead real-time reporting for social and influencer plans and activations to allow for fluidity and improvement in planning and execution. Leverage data and insights to optimize content and execution in the future.
  • Partner with paid media team to strategically leverage owned social and influencer assets for paid advertising plans; scrutinize reporting to identify optimizations for improved future performance of social assets, specifically relating to creative quality and engagement.

Other

  • Establish well organized priorities for yourself. Ensure project team members understand their roles, updates are posted, and priorities are successfully completed. Monitor progress and use PPT system to inform against priorities. Influence and manage up to leadership and brand when flexibility is required, and evolve timelines without sacrificing impact as necessary.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

To Be Successful in the Role

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant social media experience
  • Knowledge and experience using social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, initiative, attention to detail and creativity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • A creative team player who is a natural communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong writing editing skills
  • Flexibility in respect to the unexpected demands and needs of social media

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Illustrator
