Job Description/Responsibilities

Sourcing Specialist – Assets & Facilities (Contract) 

Contract (Project-Based 1 year w/ opportunity to extend)

Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced sourcing professional to support CAPEX, asset, and facilities-related procurement initiatives, with a primary focus on delivering measurable cost savings and optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO). This contractor will execute sourcing and negotiation efforts with OEMs and key suppliers supporting manufacturing equipment, site infrastructure, and facilities investments within a Food & Beverage environment. 

 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual who can independently drive sourcing projects and serve as the procurement-subject-matter-expert on a cross-functional Capex team to support strategy and ways of working improvements to deliver tangible CAPEX savings. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Execute CAPEX sourcing initiatives for manufacturing equipment, site infrastructure, and facilities-related assets from sourcing strategy through contract award 
  • Drive hard-dollar cost savings through competitive sourcing, negotiations with OEMs, contractors, and service providers 
  • Lead negotiations with OEMs, integrators, and facilities vendors covering pricing, commercial terms, warranties, service levels, and lifecycle support 
  • Analyze and optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including acquisition, installation, commissioning, maintenance, energy usage, spares, and end-of-life costs 
  • Support sourcing for facilities and infrastructure categories, such as utilities, refrigeration, HVAC, building systems, material handling, and site services 
  • Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance to align sourcing strategies with technical and operational requirements 
  • Challenge technical specifications and incumbent supplier arrangements to unlock value and reduce CAPEX and facilities spend 
  • Manage RFQs/RFPs, supplier benchmarking, and cost modeling 
  • Support contract development and execution to ensure favorable commercial and risk positions 
  • Track, validate, and report savings, sourcing progress, and risks to stakeholders 

 


Industry Preference: Food & Beverage / CPG / Manufacturing 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement with a strong focus on CAPEX, assets, and/or facilities procurement 
  • Proven experience negotiating with OEMs and equipment or facilities suppliers 
  • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lifecycle cost modeling 

 

Experience preferred:

  • Sourcing experience across equipment, processing lines, packaging equipment, refrigeration, utilities, or building systems 
  • Exposure to facilities management or site-level capital projects 
  • Familiarity with OEM aftermarket pricing, service agreements, and warranty structures 
  • Experience working as a contractor or consultant supporting cost-out or CAPEX optimization initiatives 
  • Documented CAPEX and facilities cost savings 
  • Improved TCO outcomes across sourced assets and site investments 
  • Executed contracts with favorable commercial terms 
  • Timely completion of sourcing projects with clear documentation 

 

Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule from our Louisville, KY or Carrollton, TX offices.
