The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and production-related equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role supports daily operations by addressing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility repairs, while proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact safety, quality, or productivity.
This position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence in alignment with Sazerac standards for safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation.
Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying efficiency improvements and waste reduction opportunities.
Promote strong housekeeping standards and safe work practices across the facility.
Partner cross-functionally to support production, quality, and operations teams.
Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including TTB and other applicable governing agencies.
Progress toward zero recordable safety incidents.
Maintain 99.5% defect-free product and service standards through reliable facility performance.
Meet or exceed assigned KPIs and budget targets.
Ensure full regulatory compliance at all times.
Support positive culture survey results and team engagement metrics.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
2+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in varying environmental conditions.
