Job Description/Responsibilities

This position will be night shift. 

 

The Quality Food Safety Supervisor will lead NOD's effort to continually improve our Quality and Food Safety system. Create and promote a culture of Quality in the organization. Provide leadership and development to the laboratory technician team. The direct impact will be the improvement of Quality, teamwork, measurement, increase in consumer satisfaction, compliance with our 3rd party partners and  government regulations, supporting our global expansion, and reducing costs.

 

Priorities

  • Comprehensive food safety safety program developed and led by team members and managers to include food safety training initiatives, written programs and standards tailored to the work of individual departments and designed to at least meet Federal and State food safety requirements.
  • PDS system design and implementation to include active PDS evaluation for each team member with regular feedback sessions between team member and manager, overall grid rating for each team member, 360 degree feedback program. Identify the #1 Skill to be developed by each team member.
  • Exceeding expectations across all customer segments, including external and internal customers. Needs in all areas are anticipated and requests and complaints are addressed as much as possible to the satisfaction of all customers.
  • An ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can seek "incremental" improvement over time or "breakthrough" improvement all at once. All are evaluated in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility.
  • This project is focused on US TTB compliance at manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Change management experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (STEM degree or equivalent experience)
  • Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a high paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and drive short- and long-term objectives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food safety certification or proven experience working with global food safety standards
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles ( RCA, 5 why, Fishbone)

The annual salary range for this role is $77,136.97  - $96,421.21. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
