Job Description/Responsibilities

The Buffalo Trace Café Team Lead plays a key role in creating a memorable food and beverage experience for visitors at the Distillery. This position leads day-to-day café operations, ensures a welcoming and visually appealing environment, and coaches team members to deliver exceptional service. It’s a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to grow talent, influence sales, and shape the visitor experience.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily café operations, ensuring a well-stocked, organized, and guest-ready environment
  • Coach, train, and support team members to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Monitor inventory, vendor relationships, and merchandising to drive sales and control costs
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-the-floor leadership during operating hours
  • Analyze visitor feedback and data to recommend improvements and enhance the guest experience

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in food and beverage operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods during shifts
