Company/Location Overview

Thank you for your interest in Northwest Ordinance Distilling, our first ever facility in the Hoosier state, and the newest facility in the Sazerac manufacturing network. Founded on the principles of servant leadership and continuous improvement our entire plant team works tirelessly to accomplish our vision: Build the most efficient, flexible, and engaged plant and team in the Sazerac Manufacturing Network.

 

This facility specializes in small format production (50mL-375mL bottles) leveraging 14 high speed production lines to produce over 13 million cases of various spirits annually. We are in search of talented individuals who have a strong desire to develop others and lead a team to success. Main focus for this role will be on shift production and driving capabilities through implementing sound manufacturing processes. This facility operates 24/7 and this role will work an alternative work schedule.

Job Description/Responsibilities

As the Production Scheduler you will create & coordinate the Supply Plan with Plant Operations to execute production needs to meet customer demand. This role ensures appropriate amounts of inventory is held to meet customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs, improving production efficiencies meeting company goals, safety, and government compliance. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

    • Plan and maintain stable production schedules to support efficient plant operations and timely execution of work orders. Partner with Bottling, Processing, and Materials teams to improve overall production efficiency and line performance.
    • Maintain accurate planning data across systems including Atlas, Sys21 ERP, and APS to ensure data integrity and reliable forecasting. Coordinate with Commercial Operations and Customer Service to support order fill rates, on-time shipments, and inventory targets.
    • Lead production planning activities to balance inventory levels with customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs. Support bottling operations by creating schedules that optimize line efficiency and operational performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within production planning, materials planning, and imported goods processes to deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies. Collaborate with Brand Managers, Sales, and Marketing on production plans and finished goods purchases for new products and brands.
    • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring finished goods availability aligns with customer ship date expectations. Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, and environmental policies and practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills, analytical and technical skills, planning and organizational skills
  • Experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification, experience with System 21, experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry
  • Proven success leading process improvement initiatives and developing query programs on AS400 or similar systems is highly desired. Bilingual or multilingual language skills are a plus.
