Job Description/Responsibilities

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading quality assurance and quality control activities across the facility to ensure products consistently meet customer and company standards. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an evolving environment, enjoys building and improving systems, and is passionate about driving operational excellence. The Quality Control Supervisor will partner closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to strengthen quality processes, lead corrective actions, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily quality control activities, inspections, testing, and process audits to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality systems, procedures, work instructions, and documentation to support operational excellence.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, investigate root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to build quality awareness, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead quality audits, customer quality initiatives, and compliance activities while ensuring adherence to applicable quality management standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or technical training is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing operations, or a related industrial environment, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving quality processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence positive change and hold teams accountable to quality standards.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in wood products manufacturing, cooperage, packaging, food-grade production, or other industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement methodologies, quality management systems, regulatory compliance standards, and experience leading quality audits and customer quality initiatives.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to walk production areas regularly and perform inspections throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
