Job Description/Responsibilities

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 7am-3:30pm

 

As the Shipping Coordinator (onsite in Jeffersonville, IN), you will manage the carrier check-in process and verify pickup information against scheduled loads. You will assign orders to forklift operators for loading and staging while coordinating workflow to meet shipping deadlines. This role ensures orders are organized, drop equipment is loaded on time, and shipments are confirmed in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will prepare bills of lading (BOLs), manifests, and shipping documentation while monitoring daily and monthly shipping reports. Additionally, you will track shipping discrepancies, code freight invoices, and print load plans to support efficient warehouse operations.

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Coordinate outbound shipping activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including inventory validation, order releases, and shipment tracking. Respond to schedule changes and resolve shipping issues to ensure efficient distribution operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory record management. Verify compliance with federal and state labeling requirements prior to shipment.
  • Partner with warehouse operations to coordinate outbound appointments, support loading crews, and optimize product movement from on-site and off-site storage locations. Drive efficient workflow while meeting customer and operational expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve distribution processes by documenting procedures, maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and recommending WMS enhancements. Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Promote a safe, compliant work environment by following company safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards. Collaborate with leadership to support operational excellence and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years Successful work experience
  • 2 years relevant experience in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org and have excellent oral & written communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • Requires Experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting
  • Noise level at work station is moderate (business office with computer printers)

The hourly rate for this role is $21.26 - 26.52/hr
