Job Description/Responsibilities

National Accounts Team Lead - Regional & Emerging On Premise Chains oversees the creation and implementation of the national strategy for the regional chains and franchisees in the US and globally.  This role will also be responsible for leading a team of key account managers responsible for implementing priority brands and programs within their respective account universe.  This team will also communicate and implement programs with distributors and state managers; ensures product listings; develop national program pricing analysis; develop buyer marketing programs (drink recipes, menu designs, training materials); maintains executed program stock levels; and preforms on-site brand and drink training.

 

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):

  • Contribute to Sazerac's overall financial performance by leading the regional key account team to deliver consistent significant growth.
  • Develop and execute strategies and annual plans for well and premium portfolios across appropriate on premise national accounts. 
  • Build and maintain great relationships and secure great execution in key on premise national accounts and distributor leaders - as measured by sales drivers and KPIs. Ensure the regional key account team is wired with all key distribution partners.
  • Understand brand prioritization by state and customer for key brands. Work with sales and marketing team to gain alignment on expectations and workload balance for national account on premise execution. Set specific account target for defined focus areas.
  • Develop KPIs and identify systems and measurements to manage and report results. This includes account program compliance, weekly reports, pricing reporting, recipe rolodex, mapping brand priorities to targeted accounts etc.
  • Identify appropriate national on premise accounts for each priority brand and make presentations to secure distribution and promotional activity. Work closely with sales teams to gather state pricing and distribution information and execution/compliance performance. Build key portfolios in targeted national on premise accounts. Improve visibility and brand awareness by securing distribution, promotion, and signature drinks in targeted accounts. Assist with achievement of goals by achieving drink and menu placements and national account support.
  • Secure, understand and utilize national and state level pricing standards and deviations for use with national account presentations and execution compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • 5 years sales experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • 3-Tier and/or DSD experience
  • Experience managing national accounts in on premise and/or off premise
  • Leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

The annual salary range for this role is $149,265.98 - $223,898.97. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
