Job Description/Responsibilities

The Distillery Events Assistant is a part-time position responsible for facilitating all night and weekend events at Buffalo Trace Distillery and will work with the events team in the facilitation of on-site consumer events such as the Annual 5k Fourth of July Race, Easter Egg Hunt, and Holiday Lighting, . The Distillery Events Assistant will coordinate with the Visitor Center team to schedule night and weekend tours for leisure renters, identify opportunities to control costs and generate repeat business. and be a member of the team which represents BTD at off site events as needed.

This role will supervise assigned on-site events in their entirety, manage volunteers for new and existing events. and work with the events team on post event reports to senior management after each event.  The Events Assistant will also assist with leisure event site visits as requested and serve as back up tour guide as needed.   The successful will participate in Tasting Team activities and represent the Distillery at off site events as requested.

  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience dealing with VIP guests
  • Good physical health, capable of working on feet
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products

Preferred Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
