The SBA team supports a segment of the our portfolio by building valuable trade and consumer relationships on behalf of their respective brands through integrated sales and marketing tactics. The SBA team collaborates with Sazerac Sales and Marketing to grow our brands, activate sales and marketing plans and build brand loyalty through consumer engagement

Job Description/Responsibilities

The Regional Engagement Manager (REM) is a traveling marketing brand ambassador who supports the on-going brand awareness building efforts of a major spirits brand to achieve objectives through the successful development and implementation of consumer and bartender engagement trips to various on-premise accounts in targeted regional markets.

 

  • Work with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute consumer engagement activities. Track and report results, manage program budget, contribute and participate in developing strategic tactics for the REM program. Engagement activities are primarily focused on the consumer, but should complement the service industry.
  • Demonstrate responsiveness, integrity, trust and conduct themselves in a professional and responsible manner at all times. REMs must use diligence in maintaining a professional reputation and always be a positive reflection of the brand.
  • Identify key market influencers, establish relationships in person and online, develop into raving fans and maintain them.
  • Work with local teams to develop market schedules and itineraries.
  • Work effectively and efficiently to plan travel schedules, execute engagements, and manage administrative duties such as writing recaps, expense reporting and follow up. Maintain and share detailed information among stakeholders. Be diligent with reporting and follow up
  • Collect, update and share best practices, competitive and market intelligence with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain social media presence and personal voice. Leverage and support the official brand social channels. Reach out to accounts and influencers before and after market visits to establish and maintain positive relationships
  • In addition to the annual salary, this position offers a $130/month stipend to cover cell phone/internet. Gas & parking are reimbursable expenses.

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 21+ years old 
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends) 
  • 3+ years Relevant Sales Experience 
  • Valid Driver’s License & Passport
  • Willingness to travel an average of 11 nights per month
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Candidate must reside in assigned territory
  • Must be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Wine & Spirits Industry
  • Undergraduate Degree 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products
