Job Description/Responsibilities

 

Due to continued growth, Sazerac Company is hiring a State Sales Manager for the State of Illinois (State Manager for Illinois) to assist in growing our business. As the State Manager for Illinois, the successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Achieving volume objectives for the market brand state priorities and monitoring Key Performance Indicator results through the use of KPI tracking and COGNOS.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that Brand State Priority volume objectives are achieved in the market.
  • Achieving the Brand State Priority volume objectives for assigned brands.
  • Developing and implementing agreed upon Key Performance Indicators with key distributors to ensure focus on Brand State Priorities for the market.
  • Developing, agreeing to and monitoring appropriate Key Performance Indicators with distributors in market on specific brand state priorities.
  • Identifying, developing and proposing strategic price increase opportunities throughout the year that are consistent with brand positioning strategies in the market.
  • Building brands, developing relationships, selling distribution, and coordinating programs with multi-state customers (chains and military) on and off premise.

  • Bachelor's Degree: Must
  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience: Must
  • Record of successful leadership: Must
  • Budgeting, planning and/or financial analysis experience.: Must
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products: Must
  • Strong planning and organizational skills: Must
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends): Must
  • Willingness to travel: Must
  • A valid driver's license: Must
  • National Accounts Experience - on and off premise: Preferred
  • Wine and spirits industry experience: Preferred
  • Marketing Experience: Preferred
