Job Description/Responsibilities

Quality and Food Safety Supervisor


Will lead Buffalo Trace Distillery's effort to continually improve Quality and Food Safety.  The position will implement and maintain the World Class Manufacturing Quality/Food system at Buffalo Trace Distillery.  They will develop their direct reports and will create and promote a culture of quality through effective training, implementation, and auditing of Quality and Food Safety systems.  The position will assist with Laboratory Technician duties as needed to ensure production needs are met.  The direct impact will be improvement of Quality, Food Safety, increase in consumer satisfaction, compliance with our third party partners and regulations, and reducing cost.



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and PC skills
  • Change management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems


  • ISO/HACCP implementation/management experience
  • Food Safety Certification or proven experience working with Global Food Safety standards
  • Experience working with external/internal auditors
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
