Job Description/Responsibilities

Position:  Senior Commercial Analyst

Location:  Louisville, KY or Chicago, IL

 

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Analysis, this person will identify opportunities to increase market share and profitability across our product portfolio. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind, loves digging into large amounts of imperfect data, and thrives on turning data insights into action. This individual has an entrepreneurial spirit, a bias towards action and results, and embraces change.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Produce growth in sales and related gross profit via developing our pricing strategies. Sell recommendations and evaluate/communicate results throughout the organization.
  • Apply rigor to Sales and Marketing strategies and tactics. Serve as a business partner and provide analytical support to Sales and Marketing managers. Sell recommendations and evaluate/communicate results throughout the organization.
  • Develop processes and analytical infrastructure to identify, evaluate, and execute revenue, volume, and profit opportunities. Look for opportunities to improve knowledge through self-development while also seeking to incorporate best practices and new perspectives on analytical decision-making.
  • Support Sales and Marketing planning activities to ensure goals and accountability are achieved across all Brands and Markets. Support the development of key Brand/Sales presentations and business reviews---with a focus on actions to improve revenue and profitability.

Qualifications/Requirements

The successful candidate will be a developing analytics/pricing professional demonstrating 5-10 years of experience producing high quality analytics and demonstrated revenue/profitability enhancement, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry.  Additional qualifications include demonstrated experience in the following areas:       

   

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or commensurate experience required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable business recommendations, influencing decisions, and impacting results
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of an organization, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts and insights in simple, applicable business terms.
  • Demonstrated active learner with the ability to make independent observations, and “connect the dots”
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems / processes
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • Willingness to travel
