    Job Description/Responsibilities

    Buffalo Trace Distillery is currently seeking applicants 3 newly created off (2nd or 3rd) shift laboratory technician position. Laboratory technicians are responsible for, but not limited to:

    • conducting a thorough chemical and organoleptic analyses in the QC Lab
    • ensuring all materials received adhere to required specifications
    • verifying processing steps are performed properly to ensure finished product integrity
    • performing audits on the manufacturing floor
    • supplying feedback to frontline team members on quality results and performance
    • ensuring activities, processes, and products are compliant with government agencies' regulatory requirements including OSHA
    • writing, organizing and updating lab procedures
    • participating in and leading problem solving activities to standardize and improve

    Qualifications/Requirements

    Required Skills:

    • Chemistry or related Bachelor Degree
    • 1-3 years Lab/QC or related experience
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical and technical skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
    • Demonstrated sensory aptitude
    • Willingness to travel

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous experience in Alcohol Beverage industry
