    Job Description/Responsibilities

    The Sazerac Company is in search of an experienced Environmental Engineer to support our three, growing, Kentucky distilleries as well as our new Sazerac of Indiana facility. This position is a NEW role and offers the opportunity for the selected candidate to establish what environmental engineering as well as our environmental division as whole will look like, within Sazerac, in the coming years. This position will sit out of Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY. With exponential growth year over year now is the time to join the Sazerac Company and build a long lasting career!

    The Environmental Engineer position is responsible for, but not limited to:

    • All Title V permitting
    • Managing storm water/cooling river water usage
    • Interacting with government officials during onsite visits/audits
    • Compliance management of environmental programs


    Required Qualifications of the Position:

    • Over 5 years of relavant experience in environmental engineering
    • Bachelor degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences or a related degree
    • At least 3 years of experience with interacting with government officials during audits and site visits
    • Knowledge of environmental regulations and related compliance experience
    • Well versed in managing multiple projects at one time
    • Demonstrated ability to work as a team as well as self-directed

    Preferred Qualifications of the Position:

    • Excellent oral & written communication skills
