Company/Location Overview

Nestled at the corner of Canal Street and Magazine Street, and less than 350 yards from the original Sazerac Coffee House, The Sazerac House will be New Orleans’ most memorable destination offering an enriching sensory experience that embodies the city’s spirited and historic character.

The Sazerac House will take its visitors through a journey of the history and culture of spirits in New Orleans showcasing the company’s brands relevant to the city of yesterday and today.

This part-time position is responsible for facilitating all night and weekend events at The Sazerac House and to work with the events team in the facilitation of on-site consumer events such as Sazerac House Signature Events and Activations along with Brand sponsored events. The Sazerac House Events Assistant will coordinate with the events team to schedule night and weekend tours for leisure renters and be a member of the team which represents The Sazerac House at off site events as needed.

Job Description/Responsibilities



  • Assist with faciliating all meetings and events which occur at The Sazerac House, seek opportunities to control costs and develop programming that grows The Sazerac House brand.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations. Supervise all on-site events in their entirety. Work with events team on post event reports to upper management after each event. Assist with special event site visits as requested. Act as back up tour guide as needed. Be an advocate for The Sazerac House in the local community.
  • Utilize skill competency system to identify places for self improvement in order to improve effectiveness at job and achieve goals.
  • Ensure completion of daily checklists as they relate to scheduled meetings and events, overseeing the entire event lifecycle. Address issues as needed. Keep inventory of all meeting and event supplies and equipment and inform upper management of needs.
  • Work with Management and Maintenance Teams to ensure facility care and upkeep. Act as on-site contact for cleaning crew of all rental facilities and ensure The Sazerac House maintains cleanliness standards during all events.
  • Participate in Tasting Team activities and represent The Sazerac House at off site events as requested.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining database of vendors to augment existing events and meetings.
  • Assist events team in implementation of consumer events described in the yearly plan of work and create and develop Sazerac House programming to build on brand loyalty.
  • Assist events team in the identification and development of processes relating to meeting and events. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good physical health. For example; capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • 1 year of relevant experience (minimum)



  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • 1 year of Experience dealing with VIP guests
