Job Description/Responsibilities

The Managerial Cost Analyst is responsible for providing a range of financial support to the growth and effective management of Sazerac. This role will drive insight-based decision making across the business through the use of analytics and data analysis. The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, someone with extreme attention to detail, and to consistently deliver accurate, high-quality financial analyses.


  • Leverage MCS costing system to drive analysis of Monthly Performance. Drive actionable insights into the business through key performance indicators (KPI) to highlight trends and translate operational performance into measurable action plans. Develop, interpret and analyze complex financial concepts and techniques for financial analysis and forecasting
  • Prepare financial analysis with informative / actionable information needed to support and promote growth. Contribute to growth in earnings / returns via cost savings, etc. Lead the translation and understanding of the individual MCS cost calculations to support cost saving initiatives and promote production efficiency.
  • Provide intuitive reports and analysis to all necessary operations team members to improve business decisions and understanding. Research and develop streamlined processes to improve efficiency in retrieving data.
  • Work with Finance to improve financial systems to support future analysis. Research and analyze costing inquiries and provide analysis to eliminate future problems and understand cost discrepancies.
  • Participate in the improvement MCS to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Use PDS to enhance performance within the company through evaluation, planning, and goal execution. Strive to constantly develop oneself as a valuable asset through personal and professional growth and attention to the position’s outcomes.
  • Utilize CDS system to identify training needs and design development curriculum, programs and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to manager regarding on-the-job learning opportunities.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant experience.


  • MBA
  • 2 years Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry
  • 2 years Experience using Microsoft Access 2003 or newer
