Job Description/Responsibilities

The Glen Moray Regional Brand Ambassador will be responsible for representing the Glen Moray brand within key accounts (cross channel but on-premise led), with key customers, wholesalers and local whisky advocates in identified states.  The Brand Ambassador will focus on building and managing influential account relationships, driving quality distribution, securing menu placements, and leading education at the wholesale, retail, and consumer level.

 

The ideal candidate will be located in a major Florida city such as Tampa, Orlando or Miami. This is a regional position with responsibility for building and managing relationships across several states including Florida, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Michigan.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the key influencers, decision makers and key off trade accounts and develop relationships with personnel in assigned markets
  • Analyze markets (potential/ market structure and legislation / competitors / price and promotion / SWOT)
  • Develop a market plan for assigned markets in collaboration with 375PAS Manager & Brand Manager
  • Communicate on competitor NPD, new communication, new trade activation, new distributor deal, new POS, social media campaigns, articles, etc.
  • Increase brand visibility (using product cards and available POS). Send weekly photo examples with recap as applicable.
  • Build and achieved KPI goals regarding on-premise activity/gained distribution – menu placement, flights, back bar, hosted and/or sponsored events
  • Organize and host master classes/tastings for distributor sales teams, key accounts, key scotch/whisky clubs and represent Glen Moray in national/regional/local events
  • Adopt an owner's mentality and make business decisions accordingly

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in alcohol beverage industry with expertise & a passion for the brown spirits/scotch/whisky category
  • 21+ years old 
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends) 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Working knowledge of the dynamics of the three-tier beverage alcohol distribution system.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong planning, presentation, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing/Sales or related field
  • Cocktail (Mixology) Bartending or on premise experience
  • Previous Wholesaler or Supplier experience
  • Familiar with luxury consumer brands and marketing
  • Certified Spirits Specialist, or comparative degree
