Job Description/Responsibilities

The Bottling Manager is responsible for managing the high speed bottling operation at Northwest Ordinance Distilling. Duties include: coordinating and directing the Bottling Department to achieve Safety, Quality, Service, Cost goals, and government regulations relating to production.  The manager will also create a culture of problem solving and drive and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Meet and exceed customer expectations through efficient management (exceeding line efficiency targets) of the Bottling department to deliver product on time, within budget and to meet all quality specifications. Work with the Shipping Department and Customer Service Department to deliver results to improve the SOAR Report, Order Fill Rate and on time shipments.
  • Monitor and enforce all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies. Lead the safety programs for the Bottling Department through development and execution of safe practices, process documentation and ensure understanding of SOP's to minimize severity of workplace accidents. Lead the Bottling Team Leads and Bottling staff to reduce injuries and improve safety KPIs with the end state of zero recordable injuries.
  • Provides oversight and development for 3 Team Leads as well as approximately 100 hourly team members in the efficient and effective bottling on 6 bottling lines. Create /evaluate production efficiency plans and organize and direct improvements utilizing corrective action techniques. Review all new product initiatives to be produced at NOD and lead the discussion. Team Members must adhere to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices
  • Responsible for treatment of Bottling team members (fairness, respect, listening, etc) and addresses opportunities from the Focus Group and survey feedback. Provides oversight and support for the 3 Team Leads, and approximately 100 Bottling team members. Implement a performance evaluation plan for direct reports that will move them towards improving their skills and performance to benefit each team member's personal development and the Company's business growth
  • Continually drive projects and processes across BTD that have an ultimate goal of providing cost savings initiatives, while keeping production safety and quality at a high level. Ensures Bottling meets or exceeds cost per 9L targets.
  • Develops multiple salaried exempt Supervisors and their teams in career development. Works with all managers across the site to develop their skills and results around continuous improvement.
  • Provide the leadership required to facilitate a high performance team based culture across NOD. Ensure all team members are treated fairly and with respect. Create a team environment where all team leads are encouraged to make a difference in meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Create an environment that supports productive and positive employee relations.
  • Drive the High Speed Bottling team to achieve a Best in Class bottling operation through system and process changes that result in operational and efficiency improvements. Provide support to the New Product Development Team in executing the bottling of new products within timelines and budgets. Work with the management team to successfully implement new initiatives including package changes.
  • Meet and Exceed key KPI's for the High Speed Bottling Department. Guide supervisors to build KPI action plans that will ensure accountability around desired performance and behaviors.



  • Minimum of a BAchelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 year's of relevant management experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Required Experience designing and/or implementing OSHA, HACCP, USDA programs


  • Engineering or related degree
  • APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
