Company/Location Overview

 Nestled at the corner of Canal Street and Magazine Street, and less than 350 yards from the original Sazerac Coffee House, The Sazerac House will be New Orleans’ most memorable destination offering an enriching sensory experience that embodies the city’s spirited and historic character.

The Sazerac House will take its visitors through a journey of the history and culture of spirits in New Orleans showcasing the company’s brands relevant to the city of yesterday and today.

The Experience Team Leader is responsible visitor experience at the Sazerac House. This role is tasked with proper tour route planning to ensure biggest impact; providing recommendations for new and exciting tour information and experiences; providing a high level of customer service to all Sazerac House visitors and team members. They will also participate in on-and-off site Sazerac House brand-building activities including tastings, spirits festivals, and media requests.

Job Description/Responsibilities



  • Work with the Sazerac House team to identify opportunities for revenue generation.
  • Identify important focus areas for groups visiting the House and incorporate pertinent information into tours to help ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Manage and execute The Sazerac House bar program including the 4th floor bar, tasting rooms and experience sample stations.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service to all visitors.
  • Be attentive to comments and questions from visitors and adapt group tours to their needs.
  • Ensure up-to-date and relevant knowledge of featured brands to generate gift shop sales.
  • Be an advocate for Sazerac House featured brands in the community.
  • Assist Manager in training new experience ambassadors.
  • Participate in on/off site Brand Building events and provide feedback to help determine selection criteria for future events.
  • Ensure that all experience ambassadors obtain pertinent information from visitors and complete comment cards.
  • Build relationship with tour operators and other industry partners to enhance the Sazerac House experience.




  • 3 years’ experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Must be a team player


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years’ wine and spirit industry experience
  • 3 years’ hospitality industry experience
  • 2 years’ experience interacting with VIP guests
